To maximize the positive impact of every education initiative, we lead with intentional design and purposeful integration of people, places, and programs. Education Accelerated harnesses two essential elements of education innovation: bringing both momentum and scale to the most forward-thinking opportunities facing education organizations. By assembling and engaging a world-class collaborative of education leaders, architects, financiers, data scientists, psychologists, designers, technologists, and engineers, we bring educational innovation to life and to scale…

EDUCATION ACCELERATED

...We change paradigms by building a model of the system, which takes us outside the system and forces us to see it whole.

THINK TANK 2.0

The following case study highlights how Education Accelerated empowers educational communities worldwide to build momentum and scale for positive, lasting innovation. Our ongoing partnership with Graded – The American School of São Paulo exemplifies this commitment. Together, we have designed, facilitated, and implemented the 2024 Think Tank, an initiative that has already delivered demonstrable results for students, faculty, and parents. This work is not just about one school’s progress; it’s about creating replicable systems and practices that can be adapted, scaled, and shared across the broader educational sector. We believe that true innovation flourishes when insights are exchanged and communities work together to reimagine what education can be. We’re excited to share our reflections and invite you to explore how this approach might benefit your community. Let’s build the future of education—together.

A LARGE SUBURBAN SHOOL DISTRICT
ASPIRING EDUCATOR PATHWAY

The district's Aspiring Educator Pathway aims to disrupt traditional teacher preparation programs with a transformative approach to the development of educators through a primary focus on classroom experience. Through creative public private partnerships, this innovative, competency-based program aims to provide a solution to the national challenges of teacher recruitment, retention and longevity.

Through a paid professional apprenticeship, the Aspiring Educator Pathway is grounded in the strengths of hands-on experiences and research-driven professional practice.

These aspiring educators have a spiraled set of experiences that include 5,000+ hours partnered with a mentor teacher, an embedded, best-in-class professional learning curriculum, and a customized set of higher education courses.

Successful completion of this four-year program will culminate in a Colorado teacher license, a university bachelor's degree, and a full-time teaching position in the school district.

Example of Innovative Curriculum Design.png

Avenues World Elements (AWE) was developed to showcase the unique global perspective of Avenues and define the global intended curriculum for graduating students across the globe. AWE captures the essential and enduring outcomes for graduates of Avenues. For example, the first Avenues World Element is empathy: the ability to recognize, understand and experience the feelings of others. Empathy is often considered a building block of morality. Empathy may have limits on its own, but when combined with other elements like persistence, beliefs and ethics, the result can direct moral action. Empathy can also be combined with creativity, design and entrepreneurship to lead to solving problems in a more user-centered manner. In these ways, curricular elements combine to form a wide variety of programmatic molecules within Avenues’ curriculum, which form the very building blocks of the thought and behavior of an Avenues student.

INNOVATION FOR NEXT LEVEL LEARNING

JOHN S MCCAIN III ES

Buckeye Elementary School District's 9th school aspires to break the traditional school design formula and become a model for schools of the future. Designed to have three learning communities based on age groups K-2, 3-5 and 6-8, each has dedicated maker spaces and shared breakout spaces to facilitate individualized learning opportunities. The conceptual design theme of the project, Taking Flight, is derived from the life of its namesake, the late Sen. John McCain, who served as a jet fighter pilot on an aircraft carrier during his time in the Navy and conceptualizes the school as a springboard for its students to take flight in their lives and education, just as an aircraft carrier facilitates the flight of military aircraft. The world class education provided here will be housed in a high performance learner centric facility that will enable the staff in their mission to cultivate and nurture the skills their students need to prepare them to their futures.

A CULTURE OF COLLABORATION

The Madison Meadows Middle School is an International Baccalaureate school and the client wanted the design to represent the ideals and culture of the educational program.  The IB program uses a global curriculum and encourages students to become empathetic, self-motivated learners who will contribute to the world positively.  They believe in creating learning communities where students can fully engage and not feel inhibited by barriers. This project consists of a Middle School replacement classroom, administration and media center building on an existing campus. Classroom suites include rooms with a 24’ wide operable glass partition to allows the room to be opened to a large collaboration space. The project consisted of a new 43,000 SF building that replaced two existing buildings with an Administration, Media Center, Art Room, Design Labs, Science Classrooms, an outdoor Science Yard, a Special Education Suite, an outdoor classroom on the second floor, and 11 regular classrooms.

At Education Accelerated, we are experts in bringing together educators, administrators, students, families, and communities to shape the most impactful programs for our education partners. Our Fusion Framework is ideally suited for both acceleration and scale as we work together to broaden and deepen the impact of education programs focused on the advancement of teaching and learning. We term our engagement model Fusion because, in this context, the concept signifies the deliberate blending of diverse ideas, perspectives, and disciplines to drive both innovation and sustainable success. Our research-based alignment method has been honed over decades for both efficiency and effectiveness while working with some of the most innovative educational organizations and initiatives.

Working together, we are confident that we will leverage our Fusion process as a catalyst for transformative growth that will propel a new era of education forward in the mission to accelerate academic achievement, foster equity, and cultivate growth mindsets, of all students.

OUR CONVERGENCE MODEL

All educational organizations and opportunities that stand the test of time, are comprised of an intersecting set of base components necessary to both envision and deliver effective and efficient learning outcomes.  The necessary components are the people, places, and programs that must work together seamlessly to deliver optimal results.  While it is often easy to silo these three essential elements into different workstreams, project plans, and budgets, the very best initiatives and organizations, that develop momentum and achieve sustainable success are those that envision, design, plan, and implement them concurrently and collectively to form an integrated whole.
